The CIHA team wishes our readers a safe, healthy, peaceful, and joyful New Year. The end of 2023 witnessed horrendous conflicts, including but not limited to Sudan, DRC, and Gaza. We must persevere, carrying the spirit and energy necessary to pursue lasting justice and peace. May we always remember the Wolof proverb: “Garab lo ca goob mu saxàti” – the split tree still grows.
